Today, the agreement between ShoreLink and Luleå Port was signed after the procurement of the service concession in Luleå Port was completed.
– With roots dating back to 1938, we have a long and proud history in the port – a history that can now continue into the future, says Peter Mörtlund, CEO of ShoreLink.
The new agreement, which extends up to 18 years, marks a long-term investment where ShoreLink will have the opportunity to continue to be an active part in the development of both the port and Norrbotten.
– This means a lot to us. It is an honor to continue to be involved in the development of the Port of Luleå and the region's shipping, says Peter Mortlund. We look forward to contributing, together with Luleå Port, to a sustainable and future-oriented development of port operations.
The new contract also includes opportunities for ShoreLink to participate in parts of the Port of Luleå's planned expansion - work that is crucial to meeting future logistics needs.
– Victoria Port plays a central role in freight flows to and from northern Sweden. It feels secure that we now have an agreement in place with ShoreLink, an experienced operator in freight handling and logistics. The deal is very important for both the continuity and development of our operations and for the port's expansion, says Anders Dahl, CEO of Luleå Port.
ShoreLink's board also highlights the importance of the agreement for both the company and the region.
– This agreement gives ShoreLink long-term opportunities to continue developing together with our customers and partners. Being part of Norrbotten's strong growth journey and contributing to sustainable logistics solutions feels incredibly good, says Patrik Bäckström, Chairman of the Board of ShoreLink.
ShoreLink would also like to extend a warm thank you to all of its employees, whose dedication forms the foundation of the company's success.
– Our employees are the heart of ShoreLink – their efforts every day make a difference, not only for us, but for the entire region, concludes Peter Mortlund.
With extensive experience, strong local roots and an eye on the future, ShoreLink looks forward to continuing to contribute to sustainable, efficient and competitive shipping in northern Sweden.
