It is with great pleasure that ShoreLink announces that the company has signed a five-year agreement with SCA Logistics regarding the handling of the entire production from SCA's paper mill in Munksund.
The handling of kraftliner and recycled fiber for SCA will begin at the port on October 1, 2026 and will involve two calls per week in addition to existing terminal operations.
The investment is an important step in the company's continued development and is expected to create approximately 20 new positions.
– This is fantastic news for us at ShoreLink. Being entrusted to manage the entire production from Munksund is both incredibly gratifying and a great testament to the trust we have built together. It is the result of a very good collaboration with SCA and intensive, constructive discussions over the past few months, says Niclas Stengård, Head of Operation at ShoreLink.
The collaboration has taken place in close dialogue with Piteå Port, which has played an important role in creating the conditions for the long-term solution.
– We are very pleased about the strong collaboration with Piteå Hamn and the open dialogue we have had with SCA throughout the process. Together we are creating a sustainable and effective overall solution that strengthens both the industry and the region. This will be good for Piteå and for the entire region, says Peter Mörtlund, CEO of ShoreLink.
In conjunction with this, ShoreLink also signs a new five-year agreement with SCA Wood for the handling of sawn timber. The new agreement replaces previous one-year contracts and marks a long-term and deepened relationship between the parties.
Through the new agreements, ShoreLink strengthens its position as a leading logistics partner in northern Sweden and at the same time contributes to more sustainable transportation and increased growth in Piteå.
