Piteå

Piteå Harbour, located 12 km southeast of Piteå, is modern with good capacity both in terms of cargo handling and warehouse space. The operations at the port mainly consist of handling forest products such as kraft liner and paper pulp, which are exported mainly to Germany, Holland and England.

Weekly shipments on a timetable ensure deliveries to the buyers of the products. Sawn wood products are also noticeable among the dominant types of goods. The buyers of the products are mainly in Southern and Central Europe and North Africa. Pulp wood and chips from mainly the Baltic countries dominate among the incoming types of goods.

The port is equipped with lifting cranes for various purposes for loading/unloading, among other things, forest products, bulk goods, container handling and project cargo.
