SCA Munksunds Sågverk and ShoreLink have jointly developed a comprehensive solution for handling sawn timber and slats. Newly produced products are loaded and transported from SCA to be stored at Haraholmen. SCA then places ongoing orders to ShoreLink on which products are to be picked from the warehouse for onward transport to the end customer. Loading has previously been covered by boat and a smaller volume of car transport. Now the entire sawmill's warehouse management as well as boat, car and even rail loading are included in the concept, which is administered directly in SCA's business system.
David Engberg, service manager at SCA Munksund's sawmill says, "We are happy and grateful that an open business relationship leads to expanded assignments for ShoreLink. The loading of sawn timber began in the middle of the holiday season and was expanded in August with rail loading. These functions have exceeded expectations”.
