Concession agreement Victoriahamnen

Recently, contacts between the Port of Luleå and ShoreLink have been close. Details of the agreement have been fine-tuned, but above all it has been important to get all the parts in place. For ShoreLink, the start of the concession agreement is preceded by several activities, such as inspections of various kinds, review of routines and preparation for taking over personnel and equipment.

 - ShoreLink has really worked to reach this agreement. We on the board have been involved and participated in the work and we are very pleased to now see the result of a signed contract for the concession in Luleå Harbour, says Tommy Nilsson.

- It feels good to work together with ShoreLink. They have extensive experience and that is a good prerequisite for all the pieces to fall into place before the official start in April next year, says Henrik Vourinen.

From April 2016, 15 employees from Luleå Harbor will transfer to ShoreLink, all according to plan. In addition, responsibility for facilities, cranes, properties and more is transferred.

 - It is good that it is a relatively long time to prepare all the work as there is a lot that has to work, says Susanne Jangdal, CEO ShoreLink. We are well prepared with all the planning and we also have very long experience in large parts of the business. Now we continue our work before the start next year to make the transition as smooth as possible and make sure all the pieces are in place. In the end, it is the customers in the Port of Victoria who must be satisfied with the services delivered.

Now within ShoreLink we look forward to working with Luleå Harbor and developing the business. The future is exciting with all the opportunities that are opening up, including through the Malmporten project.
