Today was the start for Haraholmen Logistikcenter. Minister of Rural Affairs Sven-Erik Bucht visited the harbor in Piteå today and fired a symbolic starting shot for Haraholmen's logistics center. In connection with the minister's speech, the icebreaker Oden glided past along the quay and saluted the new venture.
Ulrika Nilsson, CEO Piteå Hamn, presented the future plans with an extended quay and a larger logistics center at Haraholmen. Roger Bergman, Site Manager ShoreLink Terminal Piteå, spoke briefly about the activities currently taking place in the port and stated that there is full employment. The extended quay will mean better logistics solutions and, in line with new investments, there are good opportunities to expand ShoreLink's operations.

A new, very big investment for the future is Lindbäck's new super factory. It means that they are now investigating the possibility of starting a coastal shuttle to transport house modules to Mälardalen via sea. The project with a Coastal Pendulum is run by, in addition to Lindbäck's construction, also ShoreLink, Piteå Hamn, BDX and Wagenborg.
