We are looking for a logistics specialist who, together with competent colleagues, will mainly control incoming and outgoing goods within the port area. Clearance of ships is also included to some extent in the service.
duties
The work as a logistician involves, among other things:
- Checking the quality of goods and preparing for loading.
- Make bookings of goods, handle incoming/outgoing goods, document.
- Administer export and import of goods.
- Inventory and reconciliation of stock.
When clearing ships, you act as a representative for the shipowner and master when the ship arrives at port, and your duties include:
- Submit quotes to shipping companies when requesting calls.
- Maintain ongoing contact with, among others, the Coast Guard, pilots, Customs, boatmen, the planning department and supervisors in the port before and during calls.
- Administer the ship's document management and the company's finances regarding the port call.
- Offer service to the ship's crew and the shipping company while the ship is at berth.
- Emergency preparedness may occur within this service.
Who are you?
As a logistician, you have many contacts within and outside the organization and we are looking for someone who maintains high service standards, has good structure and administrative skills. You should also have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Education in logistics and/or experience in logistics is an advantage.
Extent
The position is full-time and permanent. Location Piteå, Haraholmen. Start date September 2019 or by agreement.
