Now when SkellefteåAs the region's business community grows, with Northvolt at the forefront, ShoreLink is strengthening its organization in place. Kenneth Wallin, former CEO of Martinsons Trä in Bygdsiljum, will work with business development at ShoreLink, with an eye on both existing and new customer relationships in the region with a focus on Skellefteå.
-We see an increased future need for transport and logistics services in Skellefteå, says Susanne Jangdal, CEO of ShoreLink, which is an operator in Skellefteå Port. The ongoing expansion of the port, which is now taking place in Skellefteå, is important for the continued development of the region. We at ShoreLink are now working to develop our offering to match the logistics challenges of the future.
Kennet Wallin has worked for the past 16 years as CEO of Martinsons Trä in Bygdsiljum, now Holmen since it was sold to the listed company. There he has been an important part of the development that the Martinsons Group has had during the 2000s. The company is one of the sawmill companies that unloads sawn timber in Skellefteå port.
- Kenneth's experience from the sawmill industry will obviously contribute to developing our offering and cooperation with the sawmill industry, which continues to be an important segment. He will also contribute to development in all segments with his business knowledge and local knowledge, says Ola Isaksson, Sales Manager ShoreLink.
In recent years, the ShoreLink Group has grown and now has a turnover of just over SEK 300 million compared to under SEK 200 million 10 years ago. Several major challenges have been handled in recent years, including wind turbine components being marked in the form of numerous and very heavy loads. New types of goods such as house modules have also been handled successfully.
-Our development over the past decade shows that we have a good ability to cope with major challenges. We look forward to the development around Skellefteå, concludes Susanne Jangdal.
