ShoreLink Transport and SCA Munksund's paper mill in long-term cooperation for internal transport services

SWEATSHIRT

SCA Munksund's paper mill has decided to move all internal transport services to ShoreLink Transport. The decision marks the start of an extended and long-term collaboration between the parties, initially regulated by a five-year agreement. The agreement is based on the lifetime of the machines and ensures sustainable and efficient logistics for both personnel and equipment.

ShoreLink Transport is already responsible today for the ownership and maintenance of machines at SCA's facility. The new agreement means that ShoreLink now also takes over the operation of SCA's internal transport operations at the paper mill. To ensure a smooth transition, negotiations on the transition of operations will be initiated with affected personnel.

Negotiations and future steps

After the turn of the year 2024/2025, ShoreLink Transport will begin local negotiations with the Paper Industry Workers' Union (Pappers) to ensure a smooth transition to the agreement that applies within SCA's paper usage area. The actual transfer of personnel is expected to take place after the summer of 2025.

Security and understanding in focus

- We are incredibly proud and happy to have been trusted to take over the paper mill's internal transport and welcome its staff to the ShoreLink family, says Peter Mörtlund, CEO of ShoreLink. Our ambition is for the takeover to take place smoothly and for the new employees to feel warmly welcome.

Jens Riglert, factory manager at SCA Munksund, adds: - SCA Munksund's paper mill and ShoreLink Transport have had a value-creating collaboration for a long time. The fact that we are now further developing this collaboration to include all internal transport within our industrial area feels very good. Over the years, ShoreLink Transport has shown that they are a company that puts the customer at the center, with a stable and professional workforce. I am convinced that the employees who choose to transfer to ShoreLink will be received in a very good way and will become part of our continued collaboration.

Strengthened cooperation and sustainable logistics

ShoreLink Transport's priority is to create a safe and sustainable work environment for all employees. The new collaboration means that current and new employees get time to get to know each other and build a community that lays the foundation for successful work.

Peder Wennberg, business area manager at ShoreLink Transport, comments: - This agreement gives us the opportunity to plan for the best interests of the business and collaborate in a way that ensures we have the resources to manage the transport services. Through this, we strengthen our focus on sustainable logistics and create a good community for the employees.

Stefan Lundqvist, chairman of Pappers locally, adds: - It feels good that we have reached an agreement and that it became ShoreLink. It is a company that our members have had a good relationship with for many years, and that may alleviate some of the concerns. Now we look forward to creating a good agreement starting after the weekends.

A sustainable future together

The long-term collaboration between ShoreLink Transport and SCA Munksund's paper mill is an important part of both parties' work to ensure a sustainable and efficient operation.
